Workers Injured on Gold Coast Project
News Corp is today reporting that 3 workers were injured on the Jewel development at Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. The 3500kg beam fell approx. 3m striking the workers. The workers were transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with the most serious suffering crush injuries to the abdomen, leg and chest.
News.com.au noted that this was the second accident on the site, in March another workers suffered crush injuries prompting workers to walk off-site due to safety concerns.
