Whyalla back in business

Mr Gupta today announced a $600m expansion to the Whyalla steel mill set to deliver 2500 local jobs and give much needed certainty to a city that has ridden the ups and downs of the steel industry for many years.

The GFG Alliance has assigned China Metallurgical Group Corporation as the builder of the new facility which is currently awaiting final approval.
