Watpac to be acquired by Besix

In a somewhat muted announcement Belgian construction company Besix will complete a compulsory acquisition of ASX listed constructor WatPac. The move was first indicated in February but on Thursday Watpac confirmed the news in a release to the ASX.

Besix is best known as the builder of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai but has a long history of Residential, Non-Residential and Engineering Construction works in Europe and the Middle East.
