VIC Budget to fix cladding… if it’s theirs

The Age is today reporting that the state budget includes $160m over four years to fix flammable cladding on 95 government owned buildings. However, there is no sign of relief for private owners impacted by the issue. The article notes that the UK government has announced a $368m fund to assist private owners there to redress the issue but the scale of the problem in Australia is far larger with at least 681 buildings in Victoria alone needing works.
