Tradesman trapped after falling off scaffolding in North Fitzroy
Emergency services freed a tradesman who fell six metres from a ledge at a construction site in North Fitzroy on Tuesday morning.
It is believed the 23-year-old Maribyrnong man slipped and fell from the ledge before hitting some scaffolding on the way down, about 7.30am.
Access to below ground level at the construction site where the man fell was difficult, so the Metropolitan Fire Brigade’s High Angle Rescue Team was called in and able to winch the man out to ground level.
The man is in a stable condition, possibly suffering from some spinal injuries.
