The likelihood of fast rail from Melbourne to Sydney is increasing

Fast rail has been on many wish lists in the past, but it is possible it could become a reality.

Co-founder of The Demographics Group, Simon Kuestenmacher, believes that foreign investors are cashed up and ready to invest in safe opportunities.  The aging populations in countries such as Canada or Japan means that their pension funds are looking around the world for safe projects to invest in.  Investing in Australia is a safe place for your money, if you want to withdraw it sooner rather than later.

Mr Kuestenmacher said there were not that many countries or projects that fit the criteria of being democracies, with stable governments that had consistent growth.
