Andrew ‘Twiggy’ Forrest’s Tattarang has unveiled plans to transform the Indiana Tea House at Cottesloe Beach in Perth.
Tattarang’s property division Fiveight, alongside architecture firm Woods Bagot, plans to create a “modern and accessible beachside precinct” with new restaurants, cafes and family-friendly kiosks, a promenade and covered public plaza.
Under a development application submitted to the Town of Cottesloe council, Tattarang will renovate the existing tea house building to include three levels of dining, a rooftop pool and bar.
The development will feature two separate but connected structures that “step down” towards the ocean
The project’s second building—a three-level hotel facing Marine Parade—will comprise 31-guest rooms and will feature a subterranean hydrotherapy and day spa.
