Stage 3 of Adelaide’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital procurement plan revealed.
Stage 1 – construction of a 500-space car park and Stage 2 – upgrade of the cardiac catheterisation facilities – of the redevelopment have now been completed. The completion of the new car park allows for the site of the old car park to be used for Stage 3’s construction of the Clinical Services building
Stage 3 of the redevelopment has now commenced. The new Clinical Services building will include:
- 46 bay Emergency Department
- 52 bed Rehabilitation Unit
- 14 bed Intensive Care Unit
- 12 operating theatres
- 4 procedure rooms
- Cardiac catheterisation laboratory
- Recovery spaces
- Central Sterile Supply Department
- Medical Imaging Department
- Pathology laboratory
- Staff support areas
