Scaffold Collapse Injures 5

Five workers have been transported to hospital with serious injuries following a scaffold collapse in North Melbourne on Monday. The four-story scaffold on a site in Craigieburn came down at around 1pm with the injured workers transported to the Albert and Royal Melbourne hospitals.

The incident brings back memories of the tragic fatality of a young tradesman in Sydney in April last year.

Worksafe are investigating.
