Rokewood at the last hurdle

West Wind Energy’s proposed $1.5Bn wind farm located in Rokewood (south of Ballarat) has passed its final planning and environmental hurdle and looks set to proceed when it receives federal sign-off. The project covers 17,000 hectares and will include up to 228 turbines depending on the final design. Upon completion the project is expected to power up to 400,000 homes.
