Roberts Co confirmed to build Golden Age’s 130 Little Collins office in Melbourne
Roberts Co will build Golden Age’s state-of-the-art boutique commercial office building at 130 Little Collins in Melbourne, following the company’s acquisition of ProBuild’s Victorian operations earlier this month.
With demolition now complete, construction on the project is scheduled to commence later this month and is expected to be completed in quarter one 2024.
Golden Age managing director Jeff Xu said it was welcome news to all involved in the project, with handover of the site expected to occur next week.
He said: “We have every confidence that Roberts Co will deliver a superior product due to the experience and calibre of its history, past projects, as well as the retained former ProBuild project team.”
During the whole development cycle, the project will create 343 jobs and once complete, will provide retail tenancy activation to Coromandel Place, assisting with the revitalisation and alignment with the City of Melbourne laneway activation and greening strategies.
The 28-level project is a design collaboration between Cox Architecture, Hecker Guthrie, and Jack Merlo that will set a new global benchmark for strata office architecture, design, amenity, and sustainability.
Levels two to 27 consist of column-free floorplates offering sun-drenched office spaces with maximised floor-to-ceiling heights of 2.7 metres to create an environment that promotes productivity, with an additional wrap-around garden terrace on level eight.
