Queensland cracks down on solar farms

New regulations come into force on 13th May 2019 under the Code of Practice 2019 and the Electrical Safety (Solar Farms) Amendment Regulation 2019. These changes mean that only licenced electricians can mount, repair or remove solar panels with a rating greater than 100kw. With renewable construction booming in the state, it is clear that the government is keen to avoid any repeat of the ‘pink batts’ saga by regulating the industry.
