Priority COVID19 vaccination access for construction workers

The Victorian Government has announced new measures to support the continued operation of the building and construction industry in metropolitan Melbourne during the current outbreak of COVID-19.

Construction workers will now receive priority access to COVID-19 vaccinations for the next fortnight. Eligible workers include anyone working at a site where civil works, building or construction activities take place, including contractors and architects working onsite.

Times at four walk-up vaccination clinics to be made available for exclusive use of construction workers until Sunday 26 September.

To ensure building and construction sites are adhering to all necessary COVIDsafe procedures and protocols, compliance checks will be increased with a zero tolerance approach to breaches, including the issuing of fines and prohibition notices.
