Palace Theatre Melbourne redevelopment – Le Meridien Hotel

The former Palace Theatre in Bourke Street Melbourne is to be demolished and a new 13 storey Le Meridien Hotel constructed. The art deco façade will be retained and restored.
The hotel will have over 230 rooms a restaurant and café/bar kitchen and function space with meeting rooms. A pool and fitness facility will also be built. There will be car parking allowed in the 3 level basement and landscaping.

Materials including concrete metal cladding and glazed balustrades will be used in the construction as well as steel and timber containing recycled material.
