NSW Government delivers Stage 1 of the M6 motorway to UGL, CPB Contractors, (part of CIMIC Group) and Ghella.
The project has an estimated cost of $2.5 billion and will connect Sydney’s southern suburbs into the existing network of motorways around the city. Construction will start in 2022 and is expected to complete in 2025.
The new motorway will improve travel time for road users, as well as removing trucks for suburban streets and reduce congestion on the existing road network.
This stage will deliver twin tunnels that will connect Kogarah to the M5 at Arncliffe, including tunnel stubs for connection to Stage 2 of the project (which will depend upon relevant funding approvals).
