New generation Mercedes-Benz trucks come without wing mirrors

The new Mercedes-Benz Actros drawbar units no longer have wing mirrors.  Instead, they have built-in cameras and screens.

Standard equipment on the new model Actros trucks includes MirrorCam, the replacement for conventional mirrors. Pictures are sent to screens inside the cabin, allowing a clear view of the rear and getting rid of blind spots created by the mirror housing.
