More Pain for Lend Lease as Metro Tunnel Project Blows-out

The hits just keep on coming for LendLease with The Age revealing the Metro Tunnel project cost has blown out by up to $2Bn. The company is part of the Cross-Yarra Partnership including John Holland Group and Bouygues Construction Australia. The state government maintains that any cost increase will be covered by the consortium. 

The news is ominous given that the project is barely in to year two of the expected seven-year build.
