Mordialloc Bypass
Expressions of interest now open to build the $300 million Mordialloc Bypass.
The nine-kilometre bypass will link the Mornington Peninsula Freeway at Springvale Road Aspendale Gardens to the Dingley Bypass in Dingley Village.
When complete the new arterial road will improve safety and traffic flow providing Melbourne’s growing south eastern suburbs with better access to local jobs and recreational centres.
The new bypass includes two new bridges four new intersections and new off-road paths for cyclists and pedestrians.
A preferred candidate to build the project is expected to be announced later in the year.
An Environment Effects Statement is currently being drafted which will consider how best to manage potential environmental social economic and cultural impacts.
