Metronet looks local for $46m assembly and maintenance facility
The Perth Metronet Project has announced that work is now underway on the $46m multi-functional assembly and maintenance facility. Local contractor FIRM Construction has been awarded the project along with a secondary high-voltage testing building. The build is primarily a 180m long workshop facility for the assembly of railcards including associated overhead gantry cranes and heavy rail lines along with offices and storage areas.
With the build underway, practical completion is expected by the end of 2020.
