Melbourne workers may get the Melbourne Cup off, but at JCB, holidays start on Christmas Eve
To mark the 75th anniversary of both the company and its owner, JCB is giving all its employees across the world, Christmas Eve off.
The business was founded by Joseph Cyril Bamford 75 years ago, on the same day as his son Anthony was born. The plan was to have a celebration of the 75th anniversary, but Covid-19 got in the way. As a gesture of thanks, all employees have been given an extra day off, to be taken on Christmas Eve.
