Large roadsign crushes car on freeway
A freak incident on Tuesday saw a large road-sign fall on a car on the Tullamarine fwy. The driver suffered injuries to her neck and arm and was transported to hospital in a stable condition. The Major Roads Project Authority is investigating the incident however Victoria Police have already stated that ‘wind’ was not a factor in the incident.
The sign was installed roughly 12 months ago as part of the Citylink Tulla Widening Project at the Bulla Road Exit. Investigations into the cause of the failure by MRPV, VicRoads and Transurban are ongoing.
