John Holland wins contract to upgrade Marvel Stadium

The AFL has announced that John Holland has won the $200 million Marvel Stadium and precinct upgrade contract.  Work will commence at the end of this year’s AFL Premiership season through to mid-2023.

The Stadium itself will have renovations to the food and beverage areas, larger scoreboards, a new sensory room and changing place facility, as well as additional bicycle parking.

The stadium precinct will have a new Town Square plaza to welcome all pedestrians arriving via Southern Cross Station.  The plaza will have some walls removed to allow vision of the play inside.

Hospitality venues in the precinct will be across two levels and open to the public – as well as being able to be converted to ticketed areas for large sporting and entertainment events.
