Icon turns first sod on Australia’s first liquid hydrogen facility

Icon has announced the turning of the first sod on Victoria’s Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain (HESC) Project. Launched by State Minister for Economic Development Tim Pallas along with Kawasaki Heavy Industries Global Chairman Shigeru Murayama the initial phase is expected to be completed by 2021. Works began at the Port of Hastings in Victoria’s Western Port this week on the liquefaction plant that will be supplied from the LaTrobe Valley in a boost for employment in the region.
