Partial demolition of existing facility at Bond House and demolition of other aged care residences on site. Construction over several stages of 10 buildings; eight single storey cottages of ten beds around Bond House (to be refurbished) with a new three storey building for high care residents.
Bond House (Building 1) will be upgraded to become the community hub for the surrounding cottages and will incorporate reception administration areas including an open plan office a hairdresser chapel breakout and seating areas and a multi-function room. The rear of the building will house essential services such as plant and storage loading dock ambulance bay and waste storage.
Buildings 2 – 8 (excluding 4) are the cottages attached to Bond House by enclosed walkways. Each cottage will have 10 rooms with ensuites supported by communal kitchen/dining/lounge spaces sitting areas and secure gardens for lower care residents.
Two buildings (4 and 11) are cottages separated into two wings with all communal facilities in the centre to support 10 rooms each (with ensuites) and fenced gardens.
High care residents will be housed in a three storey building with four wings coming from the central space that will contain all communal and administration requirements. It will have basement parking for 33 cars lounge and shop for visitors and residents sitting and dining utility spaces and 15 single rooms with ensuites on both the first and 2nd floors.
