Fatal Construction Incident At Curtin University
In tragic circumstances a glass roof under construction at the Curtin University Bentley campus has collapsed today leading to the death of a worker. The 23 year old apprentice has passed away after falling 20 metres whilst two other workers in their 20s were seriously injured. Reports are that the workers were on top of the structure when it collapsed.
As the construction industry counts down less than 48 hours to the 50th anniversary of the worst industrial incident in Australian history, the 1970 Westgate Bridge collapse, this is a sad reminder of the dangers that remain in this industry.
