EOI open for $562M Hospital expansion

The search for a consortium to deliver the $562 million Frankston Hospital expansion is underway with an Expression of Interest (EOI) period now open.

The Victorian Government is looking to secure a partner for the design, construction, finance and maintenance of the project as part of a public-private partnership.

The project aims to deliver capacity for an addition 120 beds, two new operating theatres, 13 new emergency department beds, new oncology facilities and dedicated space for enhanced mental health services.

A new main entrance and the consolidation of services form across the campus aims to improve access to patients and visitors.

The redevelopment will also include expanded women’s and children’s services, such as new obstetrics, maternity and paediatric wards, a women’s clinic and a special care nursery“

This major expansion will create hundreds of jobs for the people of Frankston – giving local families more employment opportunities and world-class healthcare, closer to home,” Member for Frankston Paul Edbrooke said.
