Digital Twin Victoria – a data-based digital replica of the state is on its way
The Victorian Government has announced a $35.2 million investment to deliver Digital Twin Victoria – a data-based digital replica of the state.
The technology will be used by planners, engineers and builders to model project scenarios, test project outcomes, identify potential issues and share complex information between workplaces more easily.
CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, will head up the development of the online platform which will host the digital twin, in partnership with the Victorian Government.
A pilot version of the program had already been used to create a digital twin for Australis’ largest urban renewal project at Fishermans Bend.
