CPB & UGL awarded $1.376Bn Sydney Metro & Southwest Project

CIMIC Group companies CPB Contractors & UGL today celebrated the award of the $1.376Bn Sydney Metro City and Southwest project. This project will deliver significant expansion of the existing Sydney trains network including the new twin tunnels from Chatswood to Sydenham and facility development at both Rouse Hill and Marrickville.
Adding to the ever growing infrastructure pipeline on the East Coast, CIMIC Group CEO Michael Wright said “The project combines the proven rail-sector expertise within our construction company CPB Contractors and our asset solutions provider UGL to deliver an end-to-end result, covering design, construction and commissioning of the project”.
Works are due to commence this year (2018) and are scheduled to conclude in 2024.
