Construction supporting the next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men
In 2015, BMD entered into a partnership with the Clontarf Foundation to
assist young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men to improve their life
skills, self-esteem and education and employment prospects.
BMD is committed to local communities and continues to build on its
history of implementing successful Indigenous engagement initiatives by
sponsoring and hosting events, such as this one on Wednesday, 14th
November at its head office in Melbourne.
22 young men from Northern West Australia, most of whom have graduated
from high school and are already employed, participated in a morning of further
skill development.
As one very accomplished attendee said, “My life would have been 100 %
different if I hadn’t come to Clontarf and I will never be able to repay them!”
Check out the
Clontarf website at www.clontarf.org.au and thank you
to BMD for helping our next generation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
men embrace more disciplined, purposeful and healthy lifestyles.
