The first concrete slabs have been poured on 53 terrace homes at Carseldine Village, a 100 per cent solar and battery neighbourhood in suburban Brisbane.
Carseldine Village is a new residential community being developed by Economic Development Queensland on the site of the former QUT campus at Carseldine. It will be the first residential development in Queensland to commit to delivering net zero energy emission terrace homes with energy saving features.
It is expected that owners may save up to $1600 per year off their power bills.
Some of the first 53 terrace homes in Stage 1 will be complete in late 2021, with the next 48 terrace homes in Stage 2 planned to begin construction in late 2021.
