CIMIC Cleans-up in Christmas Rush
Christmas has come early for constructor CIMIC with over $570m in contracts awarded in the lead-up to the traditional break. Subsidiary CPB has been confirmed on the $423m Metronet as part of the NEWest Alliance. The project will be delivered in 2 stages with the Yanchep Rail Extension due for completion in mid-2022 and the Thornlie to Cockburn Link due in the following year.
Rounding out the pipeline is a 3-part package of works awarded to CPB by Rio Tinto at Robe Valley (Pilbara). The works include a range of earthworks and civil components worth approx. $150m and are scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2021.
