ARRB Best Practice Guides to help local councils make roads safe

The Australian Roads Research Board has launched a series of ‘Best Practice’ guides, to help local councils create and maintain safer roads.  The latest Guide is on Safe Road Infrastructure, and will look at road safety principles and tools.

Meeting road safety requirements can be a challenge to local councils, who have set budgets to meet, however through the integration of Risk Management and Safe System vision throughout the Road Design and Planning, Construction, Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance disciplines, collaboration, opportunities and investment across the whole of a Council’s services can be effectively achieved, and at no extra cost.
