All up $188 million in projects

The Tasmanian Government has added $5.7 million to the second round of the Building Project Support Program.
The program’s first round provided $10 million in funding to support 12 projects with a total value of $50 million.
Based on the success of the program, a second $10 million round was announced and proposals were assessed in 2021.
Tasmanian State Growth Minister Roger Jaensch said there was a very strong response to the second round and the independent panel noted that there were several additional eligible projects that could be supported to get off the ground if more funding was available.
“To help make these projects a reality, the Tasmanian Government has made available an additional $5.7 million above the $10 million initially allocated for Round Two, supporting 20 significant projects that would not have happened without this funding,” Jaensch said.
“All up $188 million in projects will be supported through this funding round and, once completed, will boast more than new 520 ongoing jobs for Tasmanians.”
