Adderley Apartments West End

Existing building at is to be demolished at 137 – 157 Adderley Street West Melbourne to be demolished and 14 storey apartment constructed. This will consist of 98 one two and three bedroom open-plan apartments two penthouses and an art gallery in the main foyer. The apartments all have a balcony and have been designed to highlight the panoramic views across Melbourne and Docklands. Each apartment will have a car park and storage space allocated to it with associated parking for up to 120 cars incorporated.The architects have referenced the curved structures of West Melbourne’s iconic industrial silos with refined linear spaces and a grey tinted glass façade to provide a subtle reference to its edgy origins. The interior takes its cue from West Melbourne’s heritage as a resilient hard-working genuine suburb with a focus on monochromatic materials – hard and soft lustrous and tactile with rich grain timber veneers terrazzo and metal detailing.
