Caloundra Australia

Infrastructure and planning projects on the Sunshine Coast will share in almost $86 million from the Local Government Grants and Subsidies Program.

Projects include:

  • A new boardwalk around Caloundra Headland
  • Construction of Stage 1 of the McKinnon Drive Community Sports Facility
  • Investigation and planning for future Transit Hubs in Noosa.

This Caloundra Headland project will construct a new boardwalk that will link to Kings Beach and the 2032 Olympic and Paralympics live festival site

Noosa Shire Council will receive $390,000 for construction of Stage 1 of the McKinnon Drive Community Sports Facility. The multi-use community facility will offer an active hub for organised sports, events, and recreation.

There will be a total of 80 infrastructure and planning projects to share in the funding.
