$86M FOR SUNSHINE COAST DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

Infrastructure and planning projects on the Sunshine Coast will share in almost $86 million from the Local Government Grants and Subsidies Program.
Projects include:
- A new boardwalk around Caloundra Headland
- Construction of Stage 1 of the McKinnon Drive Community Sports Facility
- Investigation and planning for future Transit Hubs in Noosa.
This Caloundra Headland project will construct a new boardwalk that will link to Kings Beach and the 2032 Olympic and Paralympics live festival site
Noosa Shire Council will receive $390,000 for construction of Stage 1 of the McKinnon Drive Community Sports Facility. The multi-use community facility will offer an active hub for organised sports, events, and recreation.
There will be a total of 80 infrastructure and planning projects to share in the funding.
Projects eligible for the 2022-24 LGGSP can commence from 1 July 2022 and must be delivered by 30 June 2024.
