$216m for Circular Quay transformation
Circular Quay Sydney
The New South Wales Government has allocated funding in the 2022-23 Budget for a Circular Quay transformation to include:
- New public green space
- New ferry wharves
- A New York-style highline on part of the Cahill Expressway
- Link the Royal Botanic Gardens to Observatory Park and Stargazer Lawns
The transformation will:
- Create up to 1,000 jobs during construction
- Enhance the appearance of the Cahill Expressway
- Reinvigorate tourism around the waterfront
